Supporting Workforce Growth with SAP SuccessFactors

Streamlining HR systems to support workforce growth with SAP SuccessFactors

DyFlex partnered with Talison Lithium to implement SAP SuccessFactors as part of a broader SAP cloud first strategy, establishing a single HR platform integrated with SAP S 4HANA Public Cloud to support workforce growth at the Greenbushes operation.

Supporting rapid growth

Talison Lithium operates the Greenbushes lithium operation in Western Australia. Rapid growth driven by increasing lithium demand placed pressure on existing HR systems that were no longer fit for scale.

Multiple disconnected applications required manual, out of system changes and made reporting difficult. With no single source of truth, workforce visibility was limited and administration effort increased as the business grew.

Delivering a scalable SAP cloud HR platform

Talison adopted an SAP cloud first strategy, implementing SAP S 4HANA Public Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Business Technology Platform, including SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud.

DyFlex delivered SAP SuccessFactors using PeopleFlex, its SuccessFactors accelerator, providing a fit for purpose solution that could scale as the workforce expanded. The project commenced in July 2023 and went live four months later, supporting approximately 650 employees.

Improving day to day HR operations

Recruitment and onboarding are now fully systemised, enabling Talison to increase headcount without additional HR administration. Real time HR data improved reporting and decision making, while a single, consistent HR process reduced site based differences.

The integrated SAP landscape also supports position based delegation of authority and contingent workforce management. DyFlex continues to work with Talison to extend the SuccessFactors solution, including Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service, Employee Central Payroll, and time sheeting.
